Once in monsoon evening, I and Rohit decided to have something different other than bhajji or a cup of coffee. It was then we started scanning our area to find out something which is with mouth burning taste but to our surprise there was nothing other than chat, pani-puri and sandwiches. As we both are very much foodie we were ready to travel several miles for good food like the one in “Harold and Kumar – In White Castle”.
So after thinking for a while Rohit came up with an idea. He told me that he knows a place where we can variety of junk eatables. When inquired about the place he answered me “Dude it’s a chowpatty where you get nice food at cheap cost”. It was all he said. For me chowpatty definition was large number of hawkers who set up their stalls at river-side or something like that. In short, it gave me an idea of Juhu chowpatty.
After travelling for more than 15 minutes finally we were arrived at the destination. And guess what friends, I knew that place. It’s a place near DY Patil College, Pimpri. I never knew that it was called chowpatty. We started searching for food (as there was much variety as said earlier). What made us attract was the aroma of Aanda- Bhurji. We straight way went to stall and asked the rates. The hawker said “Bhurji 2 aande ka – 22 rupeya aur omelet 20 rupeya ka.. bataoo kitna duuu..”. After thinking for a while we decided to go for bhurji. Friends it was really mouth watering and delicious with toping of coriander leaves. We both got lost in the aroma and taste of the food. After finishing it as we were about to pay he asked us about some suggestions “Kaisa tha bhaiya?? Pasand aaya??” as he was asking each and every customer who was going to pay him after finishing the food. With my thumbs up I replied to saying “Bhaiya Ek Number..”
