Here comes the rain.. Here comes the rain…

Finally the rain gods have blessed the Puneites with its showers. However, the late arrival of monsoon this time has made the Puneites little bit of responsible citizens with the scarcity of water which we all have faced. Keeping aside all the theories…

Yesterday, in the evening, standing at the balcony with a cup of coffee I was enjoying the rain. The rain showers took me to my Jr. college and college days which I had left behind. With no moment to spare, I went to my Jr. college days (sequence follows). The day which I remembered was friendship day which we celebrated in Durga Tekdi. It was an amazing experience with all of us trying to reach the top against the heavy showers of rain. And finally after making it we tied each other friendship bands and exchanged gifts. Then it was follow by a lunch at hotel Vrindavan. However, things gradually changed.

I got admission in an engineering college where I got innumerable friends. In the first year, we all decided to go to Lonavala. There we enjoyed eating variety of chikkis and fudges and the waterfall at Bhushi dam. It was amazing. Whereas in the second year, we went to the same place but this time it was for celebrating our friend’s birthday. In third year, we went to Begdewadi hill tops with all new friends to celebrate friendship day. I still remember the cow which was present at the hill top and all of us were scared about it.. lolzz.. In the final year, it was totally different. The destination was Lonavala but our friends turned out to be in large numbers. I still remember the call which I got when I was on my way to college – “Kidhar hain? Aaj hum sab Lonavala jaa rahe hain. Parking main aa. Upar class main mat jaa. Patil ko bol de..” and with no option left we were set for the destination. It was followed by enjoying at a waterfall which we discovered near Bhushi dam few kilometers away. It was then followed by eating roasted BHUTTA (corn). Then finally to Lion’s point for enjoying the view.
So friends, these are some of the moments which I keep on remembering whenever monsoon arrives.
